ISW Think Tank believes in the exchange and dissemination of ideas for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Through the emphasis on trade promotion, employment opportunities, innovation and mutual cooperation through nontraditional communication, we hope to promote the positive narrative of Pakistan globally to boost bilateral relations for trade. To this end, in 2017, we will be embarking upon a number of seminars and dialogues to bring experts, policy makers and change makers, together, so that the best solutions can be tabled and forwarded to the relevant stakeholders.
As these Dialogues are designed to be focal group discussions for constructive interventions, the participation will be restricted from 10-15 professionals per Dialogue:

Ammara Farooq Malik is the Founder of the community platform ‘SEPLAA’ (Seeds of Education, Policy & Legal Awareness Association), Founder & CEO of the social enterprise business ‘SEPLAA Enterprises’ and Founder of the NGO ‘SEPLAA Foundation’.
Ms. Malik is presently a doctoral candidate in action-based leadership, social entrepreneurship, and policy at the Business School Netherlands, building on 18 years of professional experience as a corporate lawyer, law professor, freelance journalist, entrepreneur, social entrepreneur, educationalist and development consultant. She has an LL.B. and MA in Political Science from the Punjab University, Pakistan and an LL.M. from the University of London, UK. She is a LUMS SEDC Alumna (2010), a US International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Alumna (2014) and an Executive Development Institute of National School of Public Policy Pakistan Alumna (2015). She is an award-winning international speaker, having presented during various forums and conferences in New York, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Duhok (Iraq), and Colombo on peacebuilding, social enterprise development and gap analysis of trade promotion policies, including environment related national and international policies. She is a published researcher and opinion writer with several articles published in The News, Dawn and Express Tribune. Presently she is working on two book projects on women empowerment and social enterprise development in Pakistan.
Her interests lie in social enterprise management, development and gap analysis of trade promotion policies including environment related national and international policies. She is especially interested in international peacebuilding through economic diplomacy and the economic foreign policy of Pakistan.
